Systems Analyst / Senior Programmer Analyst

Description

Analyzing user requirements, procedures and problems to improve and modify existing systems using AS/400, OS/400, CLP, RPG III-IV-ILE, RLU, SDA, PDM, Query 400, SQL400 and DBU. Developing complex batch, interactive inquiry/maintenance/report programs using RPG IV, RPG ILE, Embedded SQL, procedures and CL programming also utilizing multiple subfile for data manipulation. Creating FTP script to send and receive data from different platforms. Creating Triggers on Physical file and execute programs according trigger events. Providing production support on customer’s applications and resolve issues, utilizing the client’s full life cycle software development techniques.  Creating test plans/procedures and coordinate user testing and ensure that the test meets the user requirement. Identifying in writing technical and user specifications to modify or enhance the program or system.

Must be hands on and able to support client documentation and project life cycle development requirements.  Strong knowledge of ERP applications a must.  Strong preference will be given to candidates who also have additional expertise in LANSA, PHP, .NET, or other web development tools.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Science, Engineering or Math and one year’s experience in the job offered or one year’s experience in the IT field. (In lieu of Bachelor’s Degree, we will accept a two year diploma or its foreign degree equivalent and three years of experience).

Special requirements

Experience with RPG IV, RPG ILE, AS/400, Embedded SQL, Query 400 and CL.
