iNext and 7.3

April 19th, 2016

Yep.  The mystery is over.  The next version of the operating system will officially be 7.3.  No more will we need to speculate what is NEXT.  COMMON should be a great place to learn more in person.  But there are lots of blogs and announcements to research it NOW.

iNext. What’s next on i?

March 16th, 2016

At WMCPA this week, IBM hinted that 7.3 will be announced at COMMON in April. The new release will be focused on mobile, security, and big data. Expect a high availability component as well. IBM indicates the AS/400 operating system as originally delivered doesn’t really exist as it did; the operating system has been completely modernized since then.

Silveredge will see you in New Orleans. www.common.org
